VCCI Building up Vietnam-Japan Business Forum
To timely provide legal documents, Vietnam-Japan trade and investment policies, information of potential, opportunities, challenges in doing business with Japan, strengthen exchanges between the two countries’ business communities, and effectively support Vietnamese enterprises in setting up business relations with Japanese partners, Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry plans to build up the Vietnam-Japan Business Forum.
With the aim of making the forum well perform and bring practical, long-term benefits to the Vietnam Business Community, VCCI would like to invite leaders of associations and enterprises in Vietnam to register to become Vietnam-Japan Business Forum members.
In recent years, Japan has been becoming one of the key export market and important economic, trade and investment partners of Vietnam. The two signed the Investment Protection and Encouragement Agreement in November 2003 and are considering signing the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement.
Vietnam’s potential of exporting products to Japan still remains high. The export value of the country to Japan stood at US$3.5 billion in 2004, accounting for only 0.74 per cent of Japan’s import value. Regarding investment, Vietnam is becoming one of the attractive investment destinations of Japan and more and more Japanese investors are paying great attention to the Vietnamese market in recent years. Now is the time for Vietnamese enterprises to actively strengthen and develop cooperation relations with Japan in the fields of trade, investment, tourism, and technology.
Please contact VCCI’s International Relations Department to get the Registration Form to become members of Vietnam-Japan Business Forum
