Vietnamese Lamps Face Dumping Lawsuit in Egypt
Egypt has decided to launch an anti-dumping investigation into fluorescent lamps from Vietnam, China, Indonesia and India, according to the Vietnamese Trade Ministry.
To facilitate the investigation, the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Trade and Industry sent a questionnaire to Vietnamese companies to be completed within 30 days.
The probe was requested by two Egyptian companies Nahdit Misr for Electric Industrie (VOLTO) and Electronic Apparatus, which said that imported 18-40 watt lamps from Vietnam, China, Indonesia and India were being sold at below-market prices.
Vietnam has faced more than 20 anti-dumping lawsuits on the threshold of its global integration. The victimized products include woodwork, footwear, tra and basa catfish and shrimp, and bike and bike parts.
