Vietnam Expects Opening of More Air Routes from EU
Vietnamese Transport Minister Dao Dinh Binh on December 8 called on European air carriers to open more routes to Vietnam, especially to airports that will be upgraded to international in the country.
At the meeting "How to Increase Air Services between Vietnam and the EU" held by the European Chamber of Commerce (EuroCham) in Hanoi, Binh urged European companies to further engage themselves in Vietnam's transport industry, especially in air transport.
The transport minister also mentioned what he termed fair treatment toward all air carriers, and called on foreign investors to invest in local air carriers.
Transport authorities are also reviewing costs and charges for air and sea transporters so as to help them cut costs while doing business in Vietnam.
