Vietnam, Germany Boosting Business Cooperation

On February 19, 2006, Vietnam-German Association of Small and Medium Enterprises held a round table conference in Hanoi on the business cooperation with Mecklenburg Vorpommern State (FRG). Eighteen German businesses headed by Economy Minister held direct exchanges and discussions with nearly 200 Vietnamese counterparts.

According to Mr Nguyen Trung Thuc, Vigea Chairman, the conference focused on projects and business plans to promote cooperation and opportunities for businesses of the two countries. Vietnamese businesses have shown special interest in real estate, urban development, eco-tourism and food processing.

German partners visiting Vietnam this time are strong in ship-building, mechanics, IT, management skills, and welding training of which Vietnam is in dire need. The conference has opened up long-term cooperation and markets for businesses between the two countries.
