S. Korea's Firms Seeking Biz Opportunities in Vietnam
Around 50 leaders of South Korean small and medium-sized firms are on a tour to Vietnam to seek investment opportunities in the country, according to the South Korean Embassy in Hanoi.
The foreign delegation, headed by the governor of the Industrial Bank of Korea Kang Kwon Seok, will take part in workshops on investment promotion to be chaired by the Vietnamese Ministry of Planning and Investment and other seminars on administrative procedure, taxes, accounting and labor force management.
Besides, they will also tour key industrial parks in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
According to Kang Kwon Seok, South Korean small and medium-sized firms are now keen on expanding their investment to Vietnam, and not only focusing on China.
The delegation will stay in Vietnam until March 12.
South Korea was the biggest foreign investor in Vietnam in the first two months of this year with 38 projects capitalized at US$388.7 million.
