As a member of LS ELECTRIC Group (Korea), a global corporation with over 50 years of expertise in the electrical and automation industry, LS ELECTRIC Vietnam was established in 1997 as the country's first electrical panel manufacturer. Nearly 30 years of operation, it has evolved into one of Vietnam’s leading companies in the electrical industry. Our reporter interviewed Mr Choi Jonghoon, General Director of LS ELECTRIC Vietnam, about the company's development strategy and future vision.

Could you please introduce a brief overview of LS ELECTRIC Vietnam?
Our LS ELECTRIC Vietnam factory was built in 1997, and has been accompanying domestic and foreign customers for more than 28 years. We are confident in being a leader in providing energy solutions, electrical systems and components. We are proud to bring high-quality products and services, helping businesses optimize production efficiency and minimize costs.
With a team of experienced engineers and advanced technology, we always strive to bring innovative and flexible solutions, meeting the diverse needs of customers. LS Electric Vietnam is committed not only to providing quality products but also to accompanying customers throughout the usage process, from consulting, installation to maintenance.
We are proud to be a reliable partner of many large enterprises in the industry, construction and energy sectors. Our mission is to contribute to the sustainable development of Vietnam's economy through the provision of advanced solutions.
Besides the electrical industry, what automation and smart energy solutions does LS ELECTRIC Vietnam offer to customers in the power industry? What are your insights on the current “smart energy” trends?
In addition to providing solutions in the electrical industry, LS ELECTRIC Vietnam also offers customers solutions in automation and smart energy. We focus on modern products and technologies such as:
1. Industrial Automation Solutions: We provide integrated automation solutions, from SCADA control systems to equipment and software that support the process of optimizing production operations, helping to increase productivity and reduce operating costs.
2. Smart Energy Solutions: LS Electric also provides products and solutions related to energy management, such as smart energy storage systems (ESS), optimizing energy efficiency in buildings and factories.
3. Renewable Energy Systems: We offer solutions for the exploitation and use of renewable energy, such as solar and wind power systems, helping customers use sustainable energy sources and minimize environmental impact.
Regarding the "smart energy" trend, it is gaining momentum as countries and businesses move towards sustainable development goals and minimize the impact of climate change. Smart energy is not just about using renewable energy, but also about the ability to apply technology to monitor, coordinate, and optimize energy use most effectively.
IoT and AI in Energy Management: The application of Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies helps collect data from devices, machinery, buildings, or factories, and analyze them to optimize energy use in real-time.
Integration of Renewable Energy: Energy sources such as solar, wind, and hydropower are being increasingly integrated into the grid, and managing them effectively through smart energy solutions will help reduce dependence on fossil fuel sources.
Flexible Control Capability: Smart energy allows users to control energy systems flexibly, from choosing when to use energy, when to store, or even sell excess energy back to the grid.

The LS Electric Vietnam factory in the expanded Yen Phong Industrial Park, Bac Ninh province, is the first in Vietnam to adopt smart energy management technology. Does this mark a concrete step in fulfilling LS ELECTRIC Vietnam's mission of 'Smart Energy for the Future'?
Yes, indeed, the LS ELECTRIC Vietnam factory project in the expanded Yen Phong Industrial Park, Bac Ninh province, is one of the exemplary projects in concretizing our mission of 'Smart Energy for the Future' that we always strive towards. This is the first factory in Vietnam to apply smart energy management technology, through the installation and use of electricity from solar panel systems and energy storage battery systems, marking a significant turning point in the application of advanced technological solutions to industrial production.
This factory is not only a place for manufacturing and assembling electrical panels but also a clear testament to LS ELECTRIC'S commitment to contributing to sustainable development and enhancing energy efficiency in Vietnam. We believe that the application of smart energy management solutions will help minimize energy waste, optimize the production process, and contribute to environmental protection.
Through this project, LS ELECTRIC Vietnam aims to affirm its commitment to delivering smart energy solutions, emphasizing its desire to bring sustainable development not only to Vietnam but also worldwide.
Does LS ELECTRIC Vietnam promote social enterprise values by actively contributing to local socio-economic development?

It can be said that LS ELECTRIC Vietnam has been quite successful in its production and business operations in Vietnam. Could you please share LS ELECTRIC Vietnam's development strategy and vision for the near future?
We are delighted to receive praise for LS ELECTRIC Vietnam's efforts over the past 28 years. To achieve these successes, we have always focused on sustainable development, applying advanced technology, putting customers at the center, and concentrating on training and fostering high-quality human resources. More importantly, the board of directors has always set out a clear development roadmap, encouraging staff and employees to strive to achieve the goals ahead.
Regarding LS ELECTRIC Vietnam's development strategy, I would like to share briefly as follows:
Continued Innovation and Creativity in Technology: We recognize that technology is the key factor to maintain and develop sustainably. LS ELECTRIC Vietnam will continue to invest in R&D, especially in the fields of smart energy management, industrial automation, and renewable energy. We will actively apply new technologies such as IoT, AI, and Big Data to products and solutions to improve production efficiency, optimize energy use, and move towards sustainable development.
Expanding and Enhancing Production Capacity: We will continue to expand our production scale and invest in modern, advanced technology, energy-saving factories such as the expanded Yen Phong industrial park factory, to meet the increasing demand for electrical and automation solutions in Vietnam and the ASEAN region.
Focusing on Developing Localized Products: With a potential and rapidly developing market like Vietnam, we are determined to focus on developing localized products. This not only provides products that meet domestic needs but also competes on price, bringing consumers quality products at reasonable prices.
Strengthening Global Presence: Although LS ELECTRIC Vietnam has achieved certain successes in the Vietnamese market, our ambition does not stop there. We recognize that expanding into the international market will be the company's long-term development strategy. We will seek opportunities to cooperate and expand markets in countries in the ASEAN region and beyond, thereby enhancing LS ELECTRIC'S position worldwide.
