Tan Cang Mien Trung Joint Stock Company, a member of Saigon Newport Corporation, recently held a meeting in Quy Nhon City (Binh Dinh province) to celebrate its 15th anniversary (March 16, 2010 - March 16, 2025) and received Certificates of Merit from the Ministry of Defense and Binh Dinh province.

Remarking on the 15-year journey of development, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Minh Hai, Director of Tan Cang Mien Trung Joint Stock Company, emphasized: At its establishment, Tan Cang Mien Trung Terminal (TCMT) was a former military port with outdated, degraded facilities and minimal equipment. Starting with 28 officers and soldiers from various military units, the company operated independently in a difficult environment.
After nearly a year of operation, TCMT expanded its capacity to handle ships from 5,000 to 15,000 tons while maintaining a safe depth for military and commercial vessels. In February 2011, Tan Cang Mien Trung welcomed its first container ship, marking the beginning of its journey to put its name on the map of port operators in the region.
In the past 15 years, the port has continuously expanded its market to Southern Laos, Northern Cambodia and key economic regions. Tan Cang Mien Trung has deeply engaged in the logistics ecosystem of Saigon Newport Corporation. It has received many military ships and provided logistics for offshore construction projects with absolute safety. It has strictly followed military port and international seaport security regulations, coordinated with relevant forces, and ensured safety for both the port and military areas.

In the 2019-2024 period, its cargo throughput increased by an average of 15% a year, notably reaching 1 million metric tons in 2024. High-growing annual business ensured an average monthly income of an employee at nearly VND19 million.
Speaking at the ceremony, Colonel Nguyen Thanh Truc, Deputy General Director of Saigon Newport Corporation, praised the company's 15-year achievements and expressed his gratitude to the local Party Committee, authorities, partners, customers and shipping lines for their support, companionship and trust in using Saigon Newport Corporation’s services over the past time. In the coming time, Saigon Newport Corporation and Tan Cang Mien Trung Terminal will continue to increase port operation capacity, invest in new equipment, improve comprehensive service quality, bring practical benefits to partners, customers and shipping lines, and contribute to the economic development of the country and the areas where they are present.
On its 15th anniversary, the Ministry of Defense and the Binh Dinh Provincial People’s Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to Tan Cang Mien Trung Joint Stock Company and three individuals. Saigon Newport Corporation rewarded three collectives and five individuals with outstanding achievements.
On this occasion, employees of Tan Cang Mien Trung Joint Stock Company donated VND100 million to the Fund for the Poor in Binh Dinh province.
The company also held a gratitude program for its customers, partners and shipping lines for their past collaboration.
