Aspiration to elevate Vietnamese instant noodles

After the reunification of the country, Ho Chi Minh City became a hub of innovation, implementing breakthrough socio-economic policies and comprehensive reforms. During this period, the city welcomed foreign enterprises to invest and grow. Acecook Vietnam, a member of the Acecook Group, was one of the first to establish a presence in Vietnam in 1993 through a joint venture model.

Entering a new and challenging market, Acecook carried its burning aspiration, not only to bring instant noodles - one of the typical dishes of Japan to Vietnam but also to elevate the industry to better serve consumers with high quality products. In its early days, despite numerous barriers in infrastructure, technology and culture, Acecook gradually overcame them with the "Japanese technology, Vietnamese flavor" strategy imbued with the spirit of integration and respect. In particular, the production technology was transferred from Japan and the flavor was researched and developed by the Vietnamese team, inspired by the local culinary treasure. The fruition was the birth of the Hao Hao brand at the end of 2000 - an important milestone in the company's development history. Hao Hao quickly became a "national" dish of Vietnamese people, with more than 36 billion packages consumed by the end of 2024. Besides, Acecook has other familiar brands, loved and trusted by millions of Vietnamese consumers, like Phu Huong Vermicelli, Nhip Song Noodle Soup, Hang Nga Vermicelli, Modern Cup Noodles and Siukay Noodles.

From its initial “base” of HCM City - the starting point of its journey, Acecook expanded its business scale with 11 factories and six branches nationwide and exported its products to about 40 countries.

Since its launch in 2015, the "Acecook Happy Scholarship" program has awarded over 1,831 scholarships, totaling VND17.5 billion, to thousands of students in difficult circumstances nationwide

Journey to bring happiness to Vietnamese people through the 3 HAPPY value system

Besides conquering consumer taste, Acecook Vietnam aspires to “touch the heart of consumers” through the 3 HAPPY value system: Happiness for consumers, Happiness for workers and Happiness for society.

For consumers, happiness comes from peace of mind about quality, variety in choices, and the familiar sense of comfort when enjoying the product. Each pack of Acecook noodles is not just a convenient meal, but a part of memories and childhood. Understanding this, Acecook continuously innovates to offer options suited to different ages, regions, and nutritional needs.

For employees, Acecook fosters a friendly work environment that encourages connection, learning, and growth. The company currently has over 6,300 employees, including many who have been with Acecook for over 20 years, alongside younger generations. By blending Japanese innovation with Vietnamese creativity, Acecook has built a unique identity where every employee feels valued and inspired. As a result, Acecook Vietnam has consistently ranked in the Top 100 Best Places to Work and is recognized as one of the 10 businesses with happy human resources.

For society, Acecook actively drives positive change in Vietnam’s instant noodle industry by supporting suppliers in adopting modern technology and improving local raw material management, helping to raise overall quality, safety, and industry value. In terms of CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility), the company contributes through volunteer programs, COVID-19 relief efforts, environmental improvement, scholarships for future generations, and support for disadvantaged children. Each activity reflects not just responsibility, but gratitude toward the country and community that support the company’s growth.
