SCG Launches Smartboard Ultra Fiber Cement Board Certified by EPD Standard

SCG, a leading conglomerate in ASEAN, officially launched SCG Smartboard Ultra in the Vietnamese market to offer an environmentally friendly construction solution. This premium product line has achieved the Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) certification, an Environmental Label Type III that is equivalent to ISO 14025 certification for meeting sustainability criteria throughout its production process.

With the new formula, SCG Smartboard Ultra not only provides high durability and flexibility in application but also helps minimize CO2 emissions throughout the product's life cycle. As a business committed to sustainable development, SCG continues to expand its portfolio of products with green certifications such as EPD, one of the most stringent international certifications, to enhance its reputation and brand trust. EPD is a Type III environmental declaration according to ISO 14025 standards, publicly registered on the EPD International system. EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) is a certification that provides transparent information about a product's environmental impact throughout its entire life cycle – from manufacturing at the factory to the recycling stage. This certification is rigorously assessed and independently verified by a third party to ensure reliability and objectivity. Specifically, the emission level of SCG Smartboard Ultra throughout the entire production process is approximately 0.374kg of CO2/kg, lower than other products in the same industry, from raw material processing to material transportation to the factory and the finished product stage. The product's environmental impact is also meticulously assessed using the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) method, achieving ISO certifications. Based on these assessment results, SCG Smartboard Ultra fiber cement board has been granted the international EPD certificate for environmentally friendly products.

In addition, SCG also applies advanced technology to improve product quality, offering an optimal solution with three outstanding advantages: 20% higher durability - Superior mold resistance - And environmentally friendly. In Vietnam, the tropical monsoon climate with hot, humid, and rainy characteristics creates favorable conditions for the growth of mold.
