Saigon Newport Corporation (SNP) recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with PetroVietnam Phuoc An Port Investment & Operation Joint Stock Company (PAP) to enhance strategic cooperation, marking a significant step in expanding and strengthening the integrated port and logistics ecosystem in the southern region.

The event featured a welcoming ceremony for SITC MINHE, the first vessel deployed under a bilateral cooperation agreement at Phuoc An Port (PAP), which is set to serve as an extension of Tan Cang-Cat Lai Port in Ho Chi Minh City and the deep-water ports TCIT/TCTT in the Cai Mep area.
Strategically located in Dong Nai province along the Thi Vai river, Phuoc An Port (PAP) benefits from seamless waterway and road connectivity to Ho Chi Minh City, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, and key economic hubs in the southern region. With optimal shipping routes, PAP can accommodate vessels of up to 4,500 TEUs, offering a strategic advantage in linking major industrial zones.
SITC is the first shipping line to deploy the SITC MINHE vessel to Phuoc An Port, handling an import-export volume of 400 TEUs. The vessel currently operates on the Tan Cang-Cat Lai port route.
