The Vinh Phuc Hot Air Balloon Festival 2025 is scheduled to take place at Ho Chi Minh Square in Vinh Yen city. According to the official plan, the five-day festival will run from April 30 to May 4, 2025, featuring 30 colorful hot air balloons. The event will be open to the public daily from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Vinh Yen city will host the Hot Air Balloon Festival 2025

The festival will feature the grand concert of Vinh Phuc Hot Air Balloon Festival 2025, balloon performances, balloon-flying services for visitors, exhibition and shopping booths, cuisine for visitors, entertainment, art performances and carnival parades. The festival costs about VND15 billion, all from socialized sources.

The festival offers opportunities for the public to participate in cultural and recreational activities, creating a joyful atmosphere to mark two major events: the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 – 2025), and the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 – 2025).

This is also an opportunity for the province and the local business community to introduce and promote the image of Vinh Phuc land and people, boost local economic and tourism development and attract domestic and foreign tourists to Vinh Phuc.

Previously, Tran Duy Dong, Chairman of the Vinh Phuc Provincial People's Committee, worked with relevant agencies and localities on the restoration, embellishment and degradation prevention of officially ranked relics in the province. Vinh Phuc advocated restoring and building the Communal House where Uncle Ho lived and worked in Tam Dao town, Tam Dao district, and hosting the Vinh Phuc Hot Air Balloon Festival 2025.

Regarding the relic restoration and upgrading according to Plan 175 and Decision 402 of the Vinh Phuc Provincial People's Committee, 28 relics have completed restoration and degradation prevention. The committee approved economic and technical reports on the restoration and degradation prevention of 10 relics in 2024. Seven relics have not been funded yet and three relics on the list expected to be implemented in 2024 are being submitted for appraisal and approval of economic and technical reports. 22 relics are listed for implementation in 2025.

Mr. Tran Duy Dong requested the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to work with relevant agencies to carefully prepare necessary documents and procedures for relic restoration. He also asked for a review of approved relic investment projects and proposed their inclusion in the public investment plan for the 2026–2030 period.

The project is expected to become a cultural center that serves political events and traditional education, reflecting the people's respect and affection for President Ho Chi Minh. It will also contribute to promoting local culture and tourism development.
