Prime Minister Phan Van Khai on February 28 signed a decision to issue regulations on granting and controlling APEC Business Travel Cards (ABTC).

Accordingly, ABTC holders will be eligible for exemption from visa and resident registration procedures. They can use express immigration lanes at airports, come in and out of ABTC member economies and stay for a maximum of 60 days on each visit.

Using ATBC, Vietnamese businesses can make business journeys to other ABTC-participating economies and vice versa, and businesses from ABTC members will be provided with favorable conditions when entering and staying in Vietnam.

However, information on the issuing dates has not been revealed.

Around more than one thousand of high-ranking state leaders from East Asia and North America will come to Vietnam during the APEC’s events.
