Carrying out Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo, the Standing Board of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee issued Plan 433-KH/TU dated February 28, 2025 on goals and tasks to be implemented. Economic development is clearly defined to be based on scientific and technological foundation, leveraged by innovation as the driving force and digital transformation as a key tool, combined with green transformation and high-tech industry to achieve double-digit growth in 2025 and sustainable development.

By 2030, Dong Nai aims to establish sustainable digital technology, with the Long Thanh Information Technology Park (Long Thanh Digital Park) at its core. The province plans to create a digital ecosystem encompassing strategic technologies such as semiconductors, data centers, artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), big data, cloud computing and blockchain. Dong Nai is working towards becoming a leading digital hub in Vietnam and Southeast Asia, with Long Thanh Information Technology Park as its focal point, by 2045.

Dong Nai strives to have the digital economy account for 35-37% of GRDP by 2030 and 50% of GRDP by 2045.

To achieve these goals, the province is focusing on building a consistent policy mechanism to support businesses in developing science, technology, innovation and digital transformation, further improving the investment environment, easing access to new technology and encouraging application of smart production models and innovations.

Dong Nai has outlined a roadmap for scientific and technological development, innovation and digital transformation, consisting of the following phases: 2025-2026: Establishing accelerators; 2027-2030: Enhancing and strengthening internal capabilities; 2030-2040: Expanding and advancing; and 2041-2045 and beyond: Evolving into a digital and green hub for Vietnam and Southeast Asia.

Dong Nai will continue to research and introduce innovative mechanisms and policies to invest a lot in building innovation centers, expanding open laboratories and developing digital infrastructure. At the same time, the province will attract high-quality human resources by cooperating with research institutes, universities and domestic and foreign businesses; and enable international experts to take part in major research projects and enhance its scientific, technological and digital transformation capacity.
