Meliá Hotels International (MHI) and Vietnam Airlines today announced the launch of a loyalty partnership, enabling members of the MeliáRewards and Lotusmiles programs to convert points into miles and vice versa. This marks a significant step forward in MHI’s ongoing efforts to enhance guest experiences and deliver seamless, enriching travel benefits through strategic partnerships.

To welcome members to this new offering, MHI and Vietnam Airlines are launching the exclusive Double Bonus Miles Campaign running from July 14 to August 14, 2025, allowing MeliáRewards members to earn double Lotusmiles. During this period, members will receive 2 Lotusmiles for every 5 MeliáRewards points converted. After that, MeliáRewards members can convert their points into Lotusmiles at a standard rate of 5 MeliáRewards points to 1 Lotusmile.
The program is accessible via the MeliáRewards website and offers members two flexible conversion options. Members may select Vietnam Airlines as their preferred partner to enable automatic transfer of all accrued points or choose to manually convert specific points based on their preferences to optimize their benefits. New users can join the MeliáRewards program at https://www.melia.com/vi/meliarewards to begin earning convertible points. All transferred miles will be credited to Lotusmiles accounts and can be redeemed for flights, upgrades, and other benefits under Vietnam Airlines' current redemption policy.
This strategic partnership reflects MHI’s commitment to enhancing customer experiences by offering a seamless connection between hotel stays and air travel. By enabling direct point-to-mile conversions, MeliáRewards members can now move fluidly between earning hotel stays and flight rewards, turning every journey into a more holistic, rewarding experience.

The conversion program applies to both existing MeliáRewards points and new points earned before August 14, 2025. To be eligible for conversion, members must have completed at least one stay at a participating MHI’s property and convert a minimum of 2,000 points per transaction. Additionally, the Double Bonus Miles offer only applies to manual transfers initiated by the member; it does not apply to automatic conversions made under the Preferred Partner automatic transfer setting.
Notably, MHI is currently the first and only hotel partner of Vietnam Airlines to implement a reward point conversion program with Lotusmiles under a long-term collaboration agreement. Looking ahead, Meliá Hotels International and Vietnam Airlines plan to expand the program, enabling Lotusmiles members to transfer their miles to MeliáRewards points. These points can then be redeemed for free hotel stays, exclusive discounts, personalized gifts, and other premium benefits, enhancing both comfort and value for guests staying at Meliá’s global network of hotels.
Currently, the MeliáRewards loyalty program has attracted millions of members worldwide. With a strong focus on customer experience, MHI continues to invest in personalized experiences and benefit optimization, aiming to build stronger relationships with its members while delivering flexible, relevant offers tailored to modern travel needs.
