Thanks to a sustainable development strategy, strong investment in technology, market expansion, and the cultivation of a humane corporate culture, the Southern Rubber Industry Joint Stock Company (Casumina) has affirmed its leading position in Vietnam’s rubber industry. The company continues to pursue new goals, while strengthening its international brand standing. To learn more, our reporter interviewed Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khoat, General Director of Casumina.

Casumina asserts leadership in Vietnam’s inner-tube and tire industry
Over nearly half a century of development, Casumina has become a leading brand in Vietnam’s rubber processing industry. Can you share some of the outstanding achievements the company has made along this journey?
Established in 1976, Casumina has consistently pursued the goal of becoming Vietnam’s top inner-tube and tire brand, gradually expanding its reach into international markets.
Today, we proudly assert our leadership in Vietnam’s inner-tube and tire industry, with a diverse product portfolio spanning bicycle tubes and tires, motorcycle tires, automobile tires, and specialty tire lines to serve both domestic demand and exports.
Casumina-branded products are now available in all 34 provinces and cities nationwide, and are exported to more than 40 countries, including demanding markets such as the United States, Japan, and Europe. On the production side, each year we supply tens of millions of internationally standardized products, contributing to the elevation of Vietnam’s tire and tube industry on the global map.
More importantly, Casumina is not only a symbol of quality and prestige but also a “trusted companion” on every journey, embodying the spirit of creative, enduring, and resilient Vietnamese labor.
We believe that today’s achievements form a solid foundation for Casumina to continue conquering even greater and more sustainable goals in the future.
Under increasing competitive pressure, setting the right business direction is key to long-term survival and development. What specific goals, strategies, and solutions has Casumina built and is implementing?
The business landscape is intensely competitive, especially in tire manufacturing where markets are opening further and customer expectations are rising. In response, Casumina steadfastly implements a development strategy centered on three key pillars.
First, Casumina invests heavily in technological innovation and product quality. We modernize our entire production line to international standards, and partner with reputable technology licensors. As a result, every Casumina product delivered meets rigorous safety, durability, and environmental standards.
Second, Casumina emphasizes market expansion, developing both domestic and export channels. Alongside preserving domestic market share, we vigorously promote exports to premium markets such as the U.S. and Europe, while tapping growth potential in Southeast Asia and South America to enhance our global brand presence.
Third, Casumina cultivates a corporate culture aligned with sustainable development. We place people at the core, considering staff and workers our most valuable asset. At the same time, Casumina actively carries out community initiatives, environmental protection efforts, and social responsibility programs, helping to build the image of a company growing in harmony with society.
Casumina has now undergone significant transformations in scale and positioning within the rubber industry and in the hearts of Vietnamese consumers.
