Saving Energy for Beer Factories

“NEDO’s technology of saving energy which was modelled in Thanh Hoa Beer Factory has seen some good results, cost reduction, saving energy, higher productivity and more friendly effects on the environment”. This is the conclusion of the conference on saving energy for industries of sugar and milk, aqua products and drinks held by the Ministry of Industry, Vietnam Beer and Drinks Association and the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization of Japan (NEDO) in Hanoi.

 

After three years of applying NEDO’s technology, Thanh Hoa Beer Factory has saved 3,386 tonnes of coal, decreased 10,376 tonnes CO2 and obviously increased the factory’s beer productivity from 20 million litres in 2003 up to 66 million litres in 2005.

 

The fact has shown that, this technology is very effective and it should be widely applied in other industries. According to Ms. Shigeru Sakashita – NEDO’s representative, they should apply the air collecting and compressing technology for sugar factories; the freezing technology for drinks production, milk processing, and sterilisation of soft drinks.

 

With 25 years of experience of transferring energy saving technology, NEDO has provided the best solutions to saving electricity and gas all over the world. NEDO has supported 15 investigating projects in Vietnam; of with three have been passed by the government of Vietnam.
