The event took place at Galaxy Innovation Hub (GIH) - HDBank’s center for innovation and technology. GIH is the first project in Vietnam to receive the UL SPIRE smart building certification from UL Solutions (United States), reflecting the bank’s direction in technology and sustainable development.

In his opening remarks, Kim Byoungho, Chairman of HDBank’s Board of Directors, spoke about the bank’s adaptability, discipline, and consistency in strategy amid a volatile economic environment. “HDBank is not only building a bank, but shaping a financial institution for a new era, where technology goes hand in hand with humanity, and growth goes with responsibility. We do not pursue short-term numbers. We build for long-term continuity across generations,” he said.

According to the results announced at the meeting, in 2025 HDBank delivered strong performance: pre-tax profit reached VND21,346 billion (+26.7%); ROE was 25.3% and ROA 2.1%, among market leaders; non-performing loans stood at 1.66%; CAR reached 16.7%, among the highest in the system; CIR declined to 27.2%.

Speaking at the meeting, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the Board of Directors, said: “A large bank is not measured only by asset size, but by its capacity to carry responsibility. And HDBank is ready to do so. Behind every number in the financial statements is a person.”

At the meeting, HDBank set specific targets for 2026: profit growth of 41%, reaching over VND30,600 billion; charter capital of VND1 quadrillion; pre-tax profit above VND30,100 billion (+41%); total assets reaching VND1,194,481 billion (+28%); outstanding credit reaching VND804,562 billion (+37%); equity reaching VND110,088 billion; and a planned dividend of 30%.

This marks the start of a new growth cycle for the 2026 to 2030 period, aimed at building HDBank into a large scale, high efficiency, and sustainable financial institution.

In addition, the meeting discussed the strategy to develop an integrated financial ecosystem, including key pillars: HDBank (commercial banking); Vikki Bank (a next generation digital bank for you and every household); HD SAISON (consumer finance); and HDB Securities, HDS (securities). According to HDBank leadership, this ecosystem is designed as a deliberate growth structure, creating synergy and strong adaptability to market changes.

The discussion session also included participation from international investment funds such as DEG and LeapFrog, along with leading global financial experts.

Dr. Philipp Rösler, former Deputy Prime Minister of Germany and Senior Advisor to HDBank, said pioneering financial institutions will play an important role in connecting global capital flows with fast growing economies such as Vietnam.

In line with this direction, HDBank is strengthening cooperation with the London Stock Exchange and taking part in initiatives under the International Financial Center framework in Ho Chi Minh City, expanding access to international capital markets.

At the meeting, HDBank leadership reaffirmed three core commitments: sustainable growth based on ecosystem and technology; governance aligned with the highest international standards, transparency, and discipline; and long-term value creation not only within a single year but across generations.

Closing the meeting, Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao said: “HDBank innovates and grows not only to become bigger, but to serve better, safer, and more sustainably, aiming to be one of the leading private commercial banks in Vietnam, advancing the development of an integrated financial ecosystem and the application of advanced technology, serving tens of millions of individual and corporate customers.”
