Vietnam, Russia Should Build More Trade Centers, Official Urges
Vietnam and Russia should setup more trade centers in each other’s territory to push up trade activities in the coming period, urged the Economic Minister of Russian province of Omks in an interview with Thoi Bao Kinh Te (Vietnam Economic Times) recently.
Minister Viktorovna Spiridonova led a business delegation in 18 key sectors of the province to attend the Expo Exhibition seeking cooperation possibilities with Vietnamese enterprises. The exhibition will be organized within a couple of days.
Spiridonova unveiled that this trip will focus on cooperation in the fields of rubber, automobile tires, education and light industry.
Car manufacturing, tourism, oil and information technology will also be highlight issues, she added.
“This trip is expected to improve the currently gloomy trade and economic ties between Omks and Vietnam”, said Spiridonova.
Key industries in Omks province are agriculture and automobile manufacturing. In 2005, revenue turnover of the province reached US$45 billion, it also attracted the same figure of foreign capital last year.
