Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates will pay a visit to Vietnam on April 22, the State-run Lao Dong (Labor) Daily quoted the Government Office’s source as saying.

The Government Office has assigned the Ministry of Posts and Telecoms to cooperate with other relevant bodies to prepare programs and contents for the visit of the world’s richest man, it said.

Last June, Vietnamese Prime Minister Phan Van Khai met Bill Gates and visited Microsoft headquarters in Redmond, Washington during his historic visit to the United States. PM officially invited Bill Gates to visit Vietnam at this event.

Vietnam and Microsoft signed two Memoranda of Understanding about Microsoft’s assistances in training 50,000 Vietnamese software and computer teachers in the coming years. Microsoft Windows has been available in a Vietnamese version since last year.
