Recently, Samsung Vietnam officially held the inauguration ceremony of the Samsung Innovation Campus (SIC) High-Tech Talent Development Center at the University of Information and Communication Technology (ICTU) – Thai Nguyen University.
The event marks an important milestone in Samsung’s commitment to investing in long-term knowledge infrastructure to promote innovation and improve the quality of high-tech human resource training in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data, and especially the semiconductor sector for Thai Nguyen Province in particular and Vietnam in general.

The SIC High-Tech Talent Development Center in Thai Nguyen was built on an area of nearly 1,000 square meters, comprising two SIC classrooms, two semiconductor practice rooms equipped with Virtual Reality/Extended Reality (VR/XR) technology, two meeting rooms, and one lounge area. Equipped with comprehensive facilities and modern technologies, once operational, the Center will become a core link in the high-tech human resource development ecosystem, providing students with an in-depth learning environment and internationally standardized technology training programs, thereby transforming the potential of the young generation into real technological capabilities.
The investment in the SIC High-Tech Talent Development Center demonstrates Samsung’s long-term commitment to accompanying Vietnam on its journey to develop future technology human resources, in line with the direction of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on promoting the development of science and technology, innovation, and national digital transformation; while also contributing to realizing the spirit of Resolution No. 10-NQ/TW of the Politburo on developing and improving the effectiveness of attracting a new generation of foreign investment, which emphasizes the role of FDI enterprises in technology transfer and the development of high-quality human resources in Vietnam.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Na Ki Hong, President of Samsung Vietnam, said: “Alongside continuously innovating training courses, from 2026, we have focused on implementing the Strategy to expand and upgrade the SIC lab model in localities nationwide. Currently, the SIC lab model is present in Hanoi, Da Nang, and Bac Ninh, and today, I am extremely moved to attend the inauguration ceremony of the SIC Center in Thai Nguyen. The SIC High-Tech Talent Development Center located at the University of Information and Communication Technology, Thai Nguyen University, will become a solid launchpad, providing students with an in-depth learning environment and internationally standardized technology training programs right here in Thai Nguyen.”
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Tran Van Hau, Member of the Executive Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Thai Nguyen Provincial People’s Committee, shared: “I believe that with the partnership of Samsung Vietnam, the support and connections of the National Innovation Center, the capacity of Thai Nguyen University, and the determination of the University, the SIC Center will open up many new opportunities for cooperation; contribute to training a workforce of high-tech engineers and experts, and develop creative ideas and useful technological solutions to serve businesses, Thai Nguyen Province, and the country.”
The launch of the SIC High-Tech Talent Development Center in Thai Nguyen Province further affirms the direction of sustainable cooperation between Samsung Vietnam and educational institutions in Vietnam, toward building an ecosystem for training high-quality technology human resources to meet the development needs of the digital economy and, particularly, the semiconductor industry, in response to the Vietnamese Government’s goal of training 50,000 semiconductor engineers by 2030, with a vision toward 2050.
Following the success of SIC Labs at Duy Tan University (Da Nang) and the National Innovation Center (NIC), from 2026, the dedicated SIC Lab model has been upgraded into the Samsung Innovation Campus High-Tech Talent Development Center and expanded to provinces and cities across Vietnam to create modern technology experiential training spaces, serving practical training and research, while supporting human resource training for high-tech industries and the semiconductor sector in line with Vietnam’s direction. Previously, in April 2026, Samsung Vietnam inaugurated the Samsung Innovation Campus High-Tech Talent Development Center in Bac Ninh Province.
