On August 5, the Suoi Hai Commune People’s Committee held a conference to implement a plan for livestreaming to promote and introduce craft village products in association with building digital passports for “One Commune One Product” (OCOP) products in 2026.

At the conference, delegates focused on discussing three key areas: selecting outstanding OCOP and craft village products for promotion; identifying appropriate communications platforms and e-commerce platforms to reach customers; and developing plans for livestreaming and communications content to improve the effectiveness of trade promotion in the digital environment.

Representatives of businesses and digital content creators said that to build sustainable brands, the locality needs to prioritize distinctive, high-quality products capable of competing in the market. Livestreaming activities should be combined with videos introducing production processes, raw material areas, the stories of people engaged in the trades and the cultural values associated with the products to enhance authenticity, build consumer trust and increase appeal. In addition, coordination among authorities, businesses and relevant organizations needs to be strengthened in mobilizing resources, investing in equipment and human resources, and developing professional communications content.

Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the Suoi Hai Commune People’s Committee Le Hao Quang emphasized that Suoi Hai has significant potential for developing tourism, culture and distinctive agricultural products. In the coming period, the locality will focus on promoting two key groups of products: tourism and services associated with cultural values and natural landscapes; and OCOP agricultural products such as tea, milk and milk cakes, along with many other distinctive products.

Meanwhile, Vice Chairman of the Suoi Hai Commune People’s Committee Do Van Cong said the locality would fully prepare infrastructure, funding and human resources, while promoting the role of digital content creators in promoting OCOP products, tourism, cultural identity and traditional trades such as tea cultivation, white apricot and peach growing, gradually building a capable team that can proactively carry out these activities over the long term.

Concluding the conference, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Suoi Hai Commune People’s Committee Nguyen Ngoc Manh emphasized that livestreaming to promote OCOP products is not merely a trade promotion activity but also an important solution for implementing digital transformation in rural economic development, gradually bringing Suoi Hai’s distinctive products directly to consumers on digital platforms.

Alongside this, the locality must urgently finalize a detailed plan and assign specific tasks to each specialized department; coordinate in selecting outstanding, high-quality OCOP products with traceable origins for promotion. At the same time, it should develop professional livestream scripts that combine product introductions with stories about raw material areas, production processes, producers and local cultural values to enhance reach and build consumer trust.

In particular, digital technology should be applied more extensively, digital passports should be developed for OCOP products, and connections with e-commerce platforms and social media platforms should be strengthened to expand consumer markets, contributing to building the Suoi Hai OCOP product brand and increasing local residents’ incomes.
