With a total investment of approximately VND 124 billion, the project will provide an additional connection between residential areas in Binh Trung Ward and the surrounding transport network.

October 31, 2026, the groundbreaking ceremony for Ba Dat 2 Bridge was held at Palm City urban township in Binh Trung Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, with the participation of representatives from relevant organizations, residents, partners and customers. The project is expected to contribute to the improvement of transport infrastructure in Nam Rach Chiec, while facilitating connections between riverside public spaces and existing residential communities.

Strengthening Connectivity in Nam Rach Chiec

Ba Dat 2 Bridge is a newly constructed bridge measuring approximately 38 meters in length and 12 meters in width, featuring three spans and two traffic lanes. The project has a total investment of approximately VND 124 billion and includes the bridge, connecting roads, embankments, pedestrian walkways and related technical infrastructure.

Specifically, the new road section will extend approximately 445 meters in length and 12 meters in width, while the embankment system combined with pedestrian walkways will span approximately 355 meters. Drainage, lighting and landscaping systems will also be developed alongside the road to support traffic circulation and enhance the surrounding environment.

As part of the area's transport connectivity plan, Ba Dat 2 Bridge will provide an additional route linking existing residential communities with the Nam Rach Chiec residential area, including Palm City. Upon completion and commencement of operations, the project is expected to improve access to the parallel road alongside the Ho Chi Minh City – Long Thanh – Dau Giay Expressway, as well as routes connecting to An Phu Interchange.

The addition of the bridge and connecting roads will help address existing gaps in the local transport network. It also represents an infrastructure investment in preparation for the growing travel needs of residents as Nam Rach Chiec continues to develop.

Connecting Transport Infrastructure with Riverside Living Spaces

Beyond its transportation function, the embankments, pedestrian walkways, greenery and lighting will contribute to enhancing the riverside landscape. The integrated development of these facilities aims to provide additional spaces for walking, relaxation and outdoor community activities.

In line with the area's public-space development orientation, the connection from Palm City to the opposite riverbank will facilitate greater access to riverside landscapes. Together with the existing landscape system, this area is expected to offer additional opportunities for physical activities, relaxation and community interaction for residents of neighboring residential developments.

At Palm City, transport connectivity and public spaces are considered integral components of the township's overall development. While transport infrastructure serves daily mobility needs and connects different precincts, public spaces complement the urban environment with greenery, amenities and opportunities for residents to enjoy a closer connection with nature.

Mr. Nguyen Si Toan, Executive Director of High-rise Residential Real Estate Business, Huong Viet Properties, shared: “As the developer of Palm City, we believe that infrastructure development should be closely linked to practical benefits for residents: more convenient travel, easier access to green spaces and additional places for community activities. Ba Dat 2 Bridge, together with the riverside landscape and amenity facilities, is part of this development vision, serving the existing community while laying the foundation for the township's long-term growth.”

Continuing Palm City's Development Journey

Palm City is a 30.6-hectare urban township located in Nam Rach Chiec, Binh Trung Ward, Ho Chi Minh City. Since its relaunch in June 2026, the township has progressively advanced residential, infrastructure and public-space developments in line with its overall master plan.

Ba Dat 2 Bridge is scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of 2027. Once operational, the bridge will provide additional connectivity for Palm City and neighboring residential communities, contributing to the improvement of the transport network and public spaces in Nam Rach Chiec.

Among these developments, Palm River, a riverside high-rise residential precinct, commenced construction in mid-2026. Alongside the ongoing development of the riverside park and jogging paths, Ba Dat 2 Bridge represents a continuation of investments in facilities serving residents' needs for housing, mobility and community activities.
