BIDV Opens Card, Payment Centers
The Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) has recently opened a card center and a payment center which are designed to diversify and improve the trading quality of the bank.
These two centers are to cooperate with BIDV’s branches and directly supply card and payment services.
Additionally, the state run bank is planning to establish a Vietnam-Russia joint venture bank in November. This joint venture bank is scheduled to have chartered capital of US$30 million of which Vietnam will contribute 51 per cent and Russia 49 per cent.
Thus, together with the Vietnam-Lao Joint Venture Bank, VID Public Bank and Vietnam-Russia Joint Venture Bank, BIDV is the only Vietnamese bank that has ever had three joint ventures with foreign partners.
