UK Trade Mission to Survey Vietnamese Market Late This Month
An UK trade delegation will pay a working visit to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City on June 26-30 with a view of exploring the Vietnamese market and seeking trade partners.
The mission will include representatives of 16 British organizations and companies that are operating in high technology product design, digital media training, laboratory equipment and entrepreneurial support services.
The visit is an annual fixture for the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) with support from the United Kingdom Trade and Investment Agency.
“Vietnam is an extremely important two-way market for UK companies and we recognize its growing importance in the world stage. The statistics show that Vietnam will be a major Asian force in the next few decades,” said mission organizer Craig Pym, Head of the World Trade for the LCCI.
“We are delighted to be bringing new companies to Vietnam and helping companies with some experience to develop their business relations further,” he added.
Vietnam established diplomatic relation with the UK in September 1973.
Currently, the UK is also one of the largest European investors in Vietnam with total investment capital of US$2.2 billion. Two-way trade turnover between the two countries exceeded US$1.4 billion in 2005.
