Vietnam to Build Ancient-styled Stone Bridge in Norway
Vietnam will send ten stone artists to build a Vietnamese ancient-styled stone bridge at the center of Tolga City in Norway, chairman of Vietnam Literature and Art Association, Ho Hai Hoc said.
Ten artists coming from the Non Nuoc Artistic Stone Village in Ngu Hanh Son district of Danang, famous nationwide, will construct Vietnam’s first stone bridge of 11 meters in length and 3m in width from some 100 tons of white granite and about 20 tons of red granite transported from Danang City, Hoc added.
The artistic work is scheduled for completion in August of this year.
The village with some roughly 300 families and nearly 3,000 laborers obtains export revenue of VND60 billion a year [accounting for 10-15 per cent of total export revenue of Danang] from artistic stone items. Key markets are EU, Japan and Taiwan.
