Moroccan Embassy Opens in Hanoi
Morocco officially opened its embassy in the Vietnamese capital of Hanoi July 31 aiming to boost bilateral ties with Vietnam on all spheres, state media reported.
Morocco's decision is the result of a greater awareness of the growing Vietnamese economy and the opportunities of fruitful collaboration existing between the two countries and aims at contributing to the development and reinforcement of bilateral relations at all levels.
The most important purpose of the embassy is to attract business communities, said the newly-appointed Moroccan ambassador to Vietnam, Houcine Fardani.
“We will also try to organize, in cooperation with Vietnamese institutions such as Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), seminars and information events about Morocco,” the ambassador said.
Earlier, top-ranking leaders of two countries have visited each other to promote the relations. They also signed a framework agreement on economic, cultural, scientific and technical co-operation, an agreement on visa exemption for holders of diplomatic, official and special passports, a protocol on co-operation.
