The conference for APEC young entrepreneurs is slated to open in Ho Chi Minh City and the southern coastal province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau prior to the APEC Leaders' Meeting in November in Hanoi.

The news was given at a press briefing in Hanoi on August 22 by Pham Tan Cong, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnamese Young Entrepreneurs' Association, which was assigned by the Government to hold the event. The exact time for the event, however, is not made available yet.

The meeting is designed to serve as a bridge for 100 representatives of enterprises in member countries of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum to discuss such topics as integration, hi-technologies, social responsibilities, and the business environment, said Cong.

It is aimed to submit the businesses’ proposals to the APEC Leaders' Meeting for further discussion and appropriate solutions.

The gathering is also seen as a golden opportunity for the circle of Vietnamese enterprises to introduce and promote the country to the world, he added.
