Australian Business Awards 2006

In a press conference held in HCM City on October 6, 2006, the Australian Chamber of Commerce announced that it will host its fourth annual business awards on December 1, 2006. This award ceremony will celebrate innovation, diversity, youth, durability, excellence and community awareness.

2006 will be the second year of the Auscham Young Starters Business Grant. This is an initiative which contributes to the local community through the support and development of a young Vietnamese business person aged of 18 to 30 who possess excellent ideas on business, the enthusiasm and commitment of the applicant, the sustainability and financial viability of the business concept and potential on actual Australian business linkages. Apart from the prize, seed funding of USD $5000 will be granted to the winning application in this category. The inaugural winner of this award in 2005 was Ms Bui Tran Thanh Ngoc.

Interested applicants are requested to complete the application form which is available from the Auscham office. A detailed application form must be completed and returned to the Auscham offices in Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City by 31^st October, 2006.
