Bach Dang Shipyard Delivers Vietnam's Largest-ever Oil Tanker

Bach Dang Shipbuilding Industry Company, a subsidiary of the state-run Vietnam Shipbuilding Industry Group (Vinashin), delivered a 13,500-ton oil tanker to the Vinashin Ocean Shipping Company on December 25.
 
The Vinashin Sea oil tanker, the biggest of its kind to be built in Vietnam so far, is measured 145.3 m long, 20.8 m wide and 11.20 m high.
 
It is equipped with a 5,180 KW engine imported from Denmark and built under the supervision of a Japanese registration agency.
 
The Haiphong City-based shipbuilder recorded a total production revenue of VND1,000 billion (US$63.3 million) in 2005, up 23 per cent on-year.
