Vietnam-Italy Business Forum to Open in Late March
Vietnam-Italy business forum is slated to be launched March 29-30 in Milan city, Italy, aiming to offer trade and investment opportunities for enterprises of both countries.
The forum will be co-organized by Italian Embassy in Vietnam, the Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI), Ho Chi Minh City Department of Planning and Investment and Trade and Investment Promotion Center.
The event will focus on four key economic areas listed as strengths of Vietnam’s economy, including garment, textiles and footwear; wood processing and interior production; material construction; and construction.
According to the organizers, enterprises can register lists of projects for the forum to call for investors, free of charge.
Two way trade between Vietnam and Italy exceeded US$1 billion for the first time in 2006. Of which, Vietnam’s revenue was US$800 million, mostly from the export of aquatic products, garments and textiles, coffee, and rubber. (Vietnam Economic Times)
