The Thai businesspeople met with Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung on March 21. The Prime Minister highly appreciated the visit and pledged that Vietnam will create the most favorable conditions for Thai investors.

On the same day, the mission led by the former Thai Foreign Affairs Minister Arsa Sarasin met with the Department of Foreign Investment under the Ministry of Planning and Investment in Hanoi, where they discussed issues like land clearance, industrial protection policy, compensation for land clearance in industrial zones and land lease duration.

Thailand now has 145 valid projects in Vietnam worth a combined investment capital of more than US$1 billion, ranking 12th among 77 countries and territories and standing 3rd among ASEAN nations investing in the country. (Vietnam & World Economy, VNA)
