Ministry of Transport to Equitize 165 SOEs in 2007
The Ministry of Transport will reorganize 165 state owned enterprises in 2007, in an effort to boost the restructuring of its subsidiaries.
Among them, 92 companies will undergo equitization, four companies will be sold, five firms will announce bankruptcy, and five firms will be merged.
The ministry will also restructure 10 waterway management units, and establish three new companies.
It expects to finish the equitization process in 2008. (Vietnam Economic Times)
