Vietnam, Thailand Boost Trade Ties
Thai Trade Minister Krirk - Krai Jirapaet leading 15 senior officials paid a working visit to Ho Chi Minh City on April 20 with the aim of boosting the trade ties between Thailand with Vietnam in general and with Ho Chi Minh City in particular. The Thai delegation also consisted of chiefs of Department of Export Promotion (DEP) and Intellectual Property Department. During this visit, the delegation worked with Ho Chi Minh City Investment and Trade Promotion Centre (ITPC) and apparel, textile and footwear showroom at 92 - 96 Nguyen Hue Street, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.
The two-way trade turnovers between Vietnam and Thailand stood at over US$3.1 billion in 2006 and US$3.7 billion in 2006.
