Logistics Service in Shipping under Competition
The Competition Management Agency recently coordinated with the Vietnam National Shipping Lines (Vinalines) to organise the seminar themed “Logistic services in the sea shipping field under the competition.”
Attendants to the meeting were officials from the State management units (Ministry of Trade, Ministry of Transport, Vietnam Maritime Administration and General Department of Customs), Vinalines and logistics service providers (Vietnam Forwarding and Logistics Association, Vietnam Seaports Association and Vietnam Agents and Brokers Association).
At the workshop, representatives from companies and associations shared information about the operation of Vietnamese logistics companies. Most companies and associations emphasised the importance of the construction of a logistics development strategy in ocean shipping to form the logistics industry. To achieve this target, the prerequisite condition is to create and maintain a healthy and equal competitive environment for all logistics companies.
