Setting up Council of Corporates and Businesses of Vietnam Index

The Council of Corporates and Businesses of Vietnam Index (CCBVI) has been recently established with the aim of producing criteria and selection of leading companies meeting the CBV-Index. This is a non-profit and independent organisation and is operated by its own regulations.

 

The council gathers senior economic and securities experts in Vietnam. The consultant for the council is Dr. Willem Thorbecke who is the lecturer at Economics Department of George Mason University, USA. The council chairman is Master of Financial Economics Vu Duc Nghia, deputy general director of Bien Viet Securities Joint Stock Company and the founder of CBV-Index. The vice chairman is Professor Nguyen Van Nam, vice rector of National Economics University.

 

The tasks of the council are to build, control, and modify selection criteria of companies listed on the CBV-Index portfolio and regularly evaluate, add or delete companies listed on the CBV-Index portfolio.
