Asia Canned Food Company Expands Market
Established in June 2005, Asia Canned Food Import-Export Co. Ltd is quite new in the sector. Under fierce competition with foreign companies with strong capital and modern technology, the company must introduce new technology into production to ensure high quality products for consumers and a bigger market share for itself.
To this end, the company has applied HACCP criteria to enter European and American markets. The company has also implemented a control regime on each dispatch by decision of the State and in agreement with customers. As a result, the main products of the company namely crab, oyster, shrimp and squid soon gained the trust of customers in the US, Japan, Canada, Korea and France. This has been demonstrated by year-on-year increases in turnover. In 2007, turnover is US$5.5 million, 66 per cent more than 2006. In Japan, the most important market for Vietnamese aquatic products, Asia products have established a strong reputation and partnership with customers.
In the coming years, the company will continue to diversify its products, including frozen seafood and various kinds of agricultural products, to expand into domestic and foreign markets.
