VAIP Announced Action Plan for 2008

Recently, Vietnam Association for Information Processing held a meeting to announce its action pan and events in 2008. Accordingly, 2008 will be a year in which every event will be associated with 20 years of establishment and development of the association. Apart from annual events such as conference on ICT development and co-operation, IT week, Vietnam Student Olympiad in IT, ACM/ICPC, Vietnam ICT Index, the association will also offer prizes to IT initials for the shake of the disabled. 

 

Also on the occasion of action plan announcement, VAIP got the whole ICT Index 2006 announced for the first time, valuing current situations and ranking readiness level for IT application of four sectors: Ministries and Branchess, Cities and provinces, enterprises 90 – 91 and commercial banks. Besides the ranking of two sectors of Ministries & Braches and cities & provinces already briefly announced at the conference on IT development and co-operation in September 2007 in Ninh Thuan, this time VAIP announced its ranking of enterprises and commercial banks in 2007. In this ranking, what worths a look is the breakthroughs made by Bank of Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) and Vietnam Airlines Corporation.

 

At this announcement ceremony, VAIP granted certificates of ICT golden cups for winning units and enterprises as well as signed a cooperative agreement with Microsoft VN in technology development for the youth and community.
