Hitachi Cable, Hitachi Cable Fine Tech Sign Deal to Build Optic Fiber Plant
Hitachi Cable, Hitachi Cable Fine Tech Ltd and Vietnam Investment and Development Group Monday inked a contract to develop the first phase of an optic fiber cable production factory at an initial cost of US$100 million in Vietnam, state media said Tuesday.
The deal is part of Chairman of Vietnam’s National Assembly Nguyen Phu Trong’s working visit to Japan.
Hitachi Cable and Hitachi Cable Fine Tech Ltd will start to build the factory on an area of 10 hectares in May this year in Tan Truong Industrial Park in northern Hai Duong province. Once operational, it will employ 800 local workers, the Vietnam News Agency said.
