Titanium Processing Complex Okayed for Vietnam Province

Saigon-Quy Nhon Mineral Joint Stock Company has been licensed to develop a titanium processing industrial complex in central Binh Dinh province.
 
The complex, estimated to cost VND72.5 billion (US$4.53 million), will cover 73 hectares of land in My Thanh commune of Phu My district.
 
The facility is scheduled to go on stream in late 2008.
 
Vietnam has planned to invest VND4.28 trillion to explore and exploit titanium from now 2025, including VND2.13 trillion to 2015.
 
The country will not allow exporting titanium ore starting from 2009, aiming to meet the domestic demand. (Vietnam Economic Times)
