Vietnam Ministry Agrees to Add Tan Tao Cement Plant to Development Plan

The Ministry of Construction (MoC) has agreed to add the Tan Tao cement plant project in northern Ha Nam province to the cement industry development plan, VietNamNet reported.
 
MoC said the Tan Tao cement plant has been absent in the list of projects belonging to Vietnam’s cement industry development plan until 2010, towards 2020 approved by the Prime Minister May 16 2005.
 
The cement plant, with total investment of VND1,289 billion (US$80.56 million), is set to be capable of making 2,500 tons of clinker a day and located in Thanh Liem district. 
 
Currently, Ha Nam province houses seven under-construction reverter-furnace cement projects with a combined capacity of 5.8 million tons and four operating plants with an annual capacity of 1.8 million tons. (VietNamNet)
