Bach Tuyet Cotton Co. Offers Higher Salary to Workers
The Board of Directors of Bach Tuyet Cotton Company (BBT) recently decided to raise the monthly salary to VND1,200,000 (around USUS$72) for the company’s workers who are involved in production activities, said Mr. Ta Xuan Tho, BBT General Director.
He noted that the company will cooperate with the Trade Unions of industrial parks, export processing zones and Ho Chi Minh City’s Labour Union to strictly ease strikes caused by its workers recently.
Mr. Tho stressed that the strikes were caused by other reasons instead of the too-low salaries. The related State bodies are undertaking investigations to find out the real reasons.
