Vietnam Biggest City Fetches Software Revenues of $88 Mln in First Half

HCM City-the southern economic hub of Vietnam&rsquos software industry earned $88 million in revenues in the first half of 2008.
 
Of the figure, revenues from domestic software services reached $52 million, and revenues from software exports hit $36 million.
 
The city also earned revenues of $256 million from the hardware industry in the reviewed period, including hardware export turnover of $100 million. 
 
Ho Chi Minh City is currently taking the lead in software development, registering an annual growth of 30%, and is home to around 4,000 businesses in information technology (IT), of which 128 are foreign-invested firms. (Investment)
