WB, Vietnam to Hold CG Meeting Next Month
International donors will take part in the 15th Consultative Donors' Meeting in Hanoi Dec 4 and 5 to discuss the theme of macroeconomic stability and growth potentials of Vietnam, a World Bank representative said on November 13.
Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung is expected to lead the government delegation including senior representatives from key ministries and government agencies to attend.
At 2007's CG meeting, donors pledged US$5.4 billion in aids for Vietnam.
The first CG meeting for Vietnam was held in Paris in 1993 for the first time and since 1999, the meeting has been organized in Vietnam.
International Finance Corp, an private arm of the WB, will organize Vietnam Business Forum on the threshold of CG Meeting to discuss business environment, global financial situation, infrastructure development issues, work out measures to deal with challenges to boost competitive edges of Vietnam's domestic production and distribution networks.
