The southern economic hub of Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh City, and France’s Rhone Alpes region Nov 10 signed a cooperative agreement, with the main focus on urban transport development.

Signatories include the city’s vice mayor Nguyen Thanh Tai and Vice President Region Rhone Alpes Jean Philip Bayon.

The two sides took place to review bilateral cooperation over the past time, agreeing in the time to come the two sides will speed up administrative procedures in order to facilitate the construction of head offices and exchange of investment-related information.

The Rhone Alpes’ representative pledged the region will assist Vietnam’s city to raise its capacity in earmarking and building the urban traffic system and some other projects including one on green energy development.

Last year, Rhone Alpes Days were organized in Ho Chi Minh City to mark the 10th anniversary of cooperative ties between the city and the French region. (Youth)
