Vietnam, Central Africa Found Diplomatic Relations

Foreign affairs ministers of Vietnam and the Central African Republic, on behalf of the two governments, signed on November 10 a joint communiqué on the establishment of bilateral diplomatic ties in Hanoi.
 
At the signing, Vietnamese Minister Pham Gia Khiem and his African counterpart, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration and Francophone Affairs Dieudonne Kombo-Yaya, placed great value of the event, describing it as a turning point in the two nations’ relationship.
 
The Central African diplomat said his country considers Vietnam as a top priority in the Asian region to develop relations and ties.
 
“The Central African Republic would relish the sharing of experiences in coffee plantation, rice farming, and aquaculture with Vietnam, and of particular interest is the joint deployment of an agricultural cooperation model funded by the Francophone,” the guest said.
 
He also hoped the two countries would further join hands in fields of energy, textile and garments, footwear, and pharmacy.  
 
The minister Dieudonne Kombo-Yaya invited Vietnam’s Deputy PM cum Foreign Minister to visit Central Africa.
 
Deputy PM Khiem for his part affirmed that Vietnam attaches importance to developing friendship and mutually-beneficial cooperation with African nations, including the Central African Republic. (New Hanoi, The People)
