Nidec Invests US$23 Mln to Expand Operations in Vietnam
Nidec Vietnam Co. Ltd., an affiliate of Japan’s Nidec Corporation, has kicked off the second phase of Nidec Vietnam Factory, said Tsuchida Kunio, general director of Nidec Vietnam.
The factory, with total investment of US$23 million, covers a total area of 5,000 square meters including 2,700 square meters for the second phase.
The project is jointly executed by Viet Long Construction Company and Kinden Vietnam Company.
Nidec Vietnam started investing in the hi-tech park in Ho Chi Minh City’s district 9 in May 2005 with initial investment of US$27.5 million, employing 3,500 workers.
Key product of the company is heat-reduction fans for computers. (Liberation Saigon)
