Vietnam PM Okays Foreign-funded Infrastructure Projects
Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung Dec 10 gave a nod to a EUR6 million ($7.9 million) project to build and upgrade the drainage and sewerage treatment systems in the central province of Quang Tri, including over EUR5 million in preferential credits from the Norwegian government.
The PM also approved the World Bank-funded project worth of $240.4 million to develop the urban transport network in the northern port city of Hai Phong.
The project aims to help Hai Phong City upgrade its public transport services and increase traffic safety to enhance the capacity of the municipal traffic management institutions. (VOV, chinhphu.vn)
