Bunge Invests US$30 Mln in Soy-Bean Oil Plant in Vietnam
Bunge Vietnam Co. Ltd December 9 invested US$30 million in building a soy-bean oil processing plant in Phu My 1 industrial zone, Than Thanh Dist in the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau, according to the Projects Management Unit of industrial zones in Ba Ria Vung Tau province.
The plant covering 10 hectares and a storehouse system with total capacity of 48,000 tons will produce 930,000 tons of soybean oil a year.
The Bunge Vietnam, established by the U.S-based Bunge Group, is also owner of the Phu My Farm Produce Import-Export Port.
This is the first port of its kind in Vietnam with loading capacity of 4.5-5 million tons, and storage capacity of 50,000 tons yearly. (Vietnam Agriculture)
