EUR50-Mln Deal Signed for Cong Thanh Cement Production Line 2
Cong Thanh Cement Joint Stock Company last week signed a US$50-million contract on designing, manufacturing and supplying equipment to its production line 2 with Germany’s Polysius AG.
The clinker production line, with a capacity of 11,000 tons a day, is scheduled for operation after 24 months of construction, said Nguyen Cong Ly, chairman of the company’s management board.
Ly said the company’s production line 1, capable of turning out 2,500 tons of clinker a day, has operated since July 2008.
When fully completed, Cong Thanh will be the first cement factory in Vietnam producing 13,500 tons of clinker per day.
Covering an area of 80 hectares of land, both Cong Thanh production lines have total investment of US$300 million. (Investment)
