Vietnam-China Trade Hits US$21 Bln in 2008
Bilateral trade between Vietnam and China jumped to US$21 billion in 2008, much nearer the target of US$25 billion set for 2010 by the two countries, the state-run Capital Security newspaper said, quoting Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung.
Dung told Chinese newly-accredited ambassador, Sun Guoxiang, that bilateral friendship and cooperation ties are developing in all aspects, particularly Chinese investment inflows jump fast.
Communist party and state and people of Vietnam treasure the bilateral friendship relations with China.
Vietnam-Sino ties witnessed a landmark point when the two sides announced completion of disputed border of 1,400 kilometer last year and will sign a protocol on the issue soon.
The two sides also vowed to build a border of friendship, long-term stability and peace.
Currently, Hanoi and Beijing are in process of waters delineation off Tonkin Gulf. (Capital Security)
